Snow Day Deux

Okay... not too much to talk about today either. Another day inside, thanks to the snow outside. if i have class tomorrow, which i probably will and it's totally going to suck, then i'm going to have to dig my car out of the snow to get there. not exciting at all. but, tomorrow begins the good stuff. the cosmo bikini bootcamp i think. so, hopefully this blog will help me stick to it. cause, i've got some legit plans for spring break coming into view. and, i'll need to be in great shape to keep up with it all. =] party party? umm... so, test in espanol tomorrow. pretty prepared i'd say. except for all of the worksheets, which i totally forgot about. so, i guess i'll be getting up early or staying up late tonight. i spent so much time on skype today. i loved it. ilya, mommy, daddy, sissy, caitlyn, witte. it was awesome. technology is confusing to me, but, it's still awesome. so, since my life has been boring this weekend, i'll end it with a picture that i just think is so funny. it's of my kitten Greycie, and, it looks like she's been partying a little bit too hard. enjoy.

Snow Day

So, let's see...
Today it snowed. So, I was pretty much stuck inside. I got to talk to a few good old friends, which really was the best thing to happen in a while. Coincidentally, they were all boys. I guess I just get along better with guys than girls. I'm not really sure why. I mean, yeah, I have some really great girl friends, but, boy friends are just so much easier. Like, they have far less drama, and they always have your back. It's so much less complicated. Until it gets complicated, but, that's something else entirely.
Let's see... not much else really to say today.
I'm pretty disappointed that I'm so snowed in I'll probably miss church tomorrow. It's been such a long time since I've been & I really miss it.
Don't forget to watch the Pro-Bowl to cheer on Andre Gurode, DeMarcus Ware, Miles Austin, Leonard Davis, Jay Ratliff, Mike Jenkins, Terrance Newman, Jason Witten, and Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys!
I know that nobody really watches the Pro-Bowl, but, there's a first time for everything!
Also, check out Hope's blog. She's one of my best friends and has some off the wall things to say sometimes, it should be pretty entertaining!

Action figures, and paying it forward

Today, I went to the Pentagon to try and give blood. I was deferred because of a tattoo. Apparently, Georgia doesn't regulate their tattoo shops, so I have to wait a year instead of the usual six months. Anyway, after that whole ordeal was over, my Aunt gave me a tour of the Pentagon. And I met one of the guys that she works with. General Bishop. This dude has an ACTION FIGURE. and, it's HIM. It kinda does look like him. But, how crazy would that be? To have an action figure made of you? That's how you know you've made it, I think. He was a Thunderbird pilot. I freaking LOVE living in DC. You never know what will happen or who you'll meet next. Oh, and the Executive Dining Room at the Pentagon has the YUMMIEST Virginia Ham& Pennsylvania Cheese Sandwich. WHOA. Also, being there reaffirmed my love for men in uniform. God Bless America, they're fineeee. =]

So, on this whole giving blood thing... I think everyone should do it. It's the easiest way to save like, 3 lives. The Red Cross is legit, but, if you wanna be like me [and who doesn't!?!] go thru the Armed Services Blood Project.

College v. High School Girls

High School Girls:
-Talk shit to MULTIPLE people, then get surprised when the person they're talking about finds out. They then deny it & act stupid.

College Girls:
-Talk shit to their BEST FRIEND ONLY. If someone happens to find out, they own up to it. Call you out on the truth in what they said, a civilized discussion happens, water under the bridge & it's done.

High School Girls:
-Find out someone said something about them & go OFF. They blow things way out of proportion and don't even bother to check themselves to see if it's true.

College Girls:
-Find out someone said something about them, check to see if that person was right, then own up to it, deal with it & move on.

High School Girls:
-Make stuff up to hurt feelings & to express jealousy

College Girls:
-Speak the truth. The God's honest, brutal, painful truth.

If you're in college, be a college girl.
If you're in college, but still acting like a high school girl, I feel sorry for you. GROW UP.
If you're in high school, learn from this.

Comments with additional differences are sooo welcomed.

A Regular Rant

Do you ever feel like you took advantage of your youth? I didn't realize I'd forget so many things about it. I'm glad I remember what I do, but, I wish that I had more to cling to as I grow up. You never really think that your favorite shows will go away, or that your toys won't be cool, or realize that you NEVER should have worn those powder blue skechers platform sandals with velcro. [yikes!] I guess it's a good thing to be so carefree, but, sometimes I wonder how things would have been different. hmmm...

on another relatively unrelated note:
today, i had a biology lecture test. while i was in the caf studying with my friend a group of high school girls was behind us. a junior and two freshman, apparently their mom is a prof there or something. anyway, they were so annoying i seriously wanted to slap them in the face. i really hope that my friends and i were not as lame as they were. they were seriously talking about how they are friends with taylor swift on myspace. [as if anyone still uses myspace] they were saying how they always know what's up with her before anyone and see all these pictures of upcoming movies she's in and stuff. REALLY? you're not cool because you're friends with taylor swift. considering the fact that she probably adds EVERYONE who friend requests her. wow.
also, i don't think that playing bullshit in the middle of the caf, and yelling it at the top of your lungs is appropriate. nor is using a school computer to play world of warcraft or whatever stupid game you're all crowded around. and, why the heck would someone bring their x-box to school? where do you put it during class? it's as if these people don't have any sort of home training.

i think i did pretty well on the biology test. and in lab, we got to put together a skeleton. which was fun. and i really like most of the people in my class. we have a fun time.
enough of the daily rant.

i'm so glad my thursdays are fridays.
but, way too much comes on tv tonight.
grey's, private practice, real housewives of orange county, project runway.
i guess i can always catch up tomorrow.

I'm hoping that nobody thinks I'm a horribly negative person. I'm actually the opposite. I'm one of the most positive optimistic people you'd ever meet. Hopefully I can show that off sometime soon. Maybe I'll update this around bedtime, maybe not.
Until then...

Probably Not the New Carrie Bradshaw

Okay here we go, I'll just jump right in.
There are a few things I'm currently addicted to, and I'm thinking everyone should get to know them.
1. Pandora Radio. Specifically the "Brandi Carlile" station I created. The semi-folksy mostly female singer/songwriter station is PERFECT for studying background music. I listen to it all the time. Even when studying turns into facebooking. [oops]
2. Chai Lattes from Starbucks. Okay, so, I used to be alllll about the Soy, Triple Shot, Peppermint, White Mocha, No Whip. But, that's just so wordy! The Chai latte is perfect. It's spicy and calming and just yummy on a chilly Virginia morning. or afternoon. or night.
3. No Frizz by Living Proof. Perfect hair days everyday? nuff said.

There are also a few things that I just don't understand.
1. Blue eyeshadow. Normal people just shouldn't do this look. It's fine on Abigail Breslin in the new Nylon Magazine, and Mimi from Drew Carey, but, weird girl in Bio, please invest in a new color.
2. People on motorized scooters crossing major roads causing rush hour traffic in multiple lanes to stop. I seriously witnessed this the other day. It was both hilarious and somewhat disturbing. I just don't get why on earth an old lady in a motorized scooter is driving it out on the road anyway, let alone crossing the roadway just as the light turns green. Really, lady? Also, please remove the green tie dye backpack from the back of the seat, too. Oy Vey!

So, seeing as I'm new to this blogging thing, I had some MAJOR help from one of my best friends, Miss Amanda-Leigh. I want to thank her ever so much. And, anybody out there reading this should definitely click on her banner & follow her.
